The Warming of Connecticut

Producer, director and writer of a one hour documentary for Connecticut Public Television on the predicted impacts and possible solutions for global warming at a local level.

The majority of scientists worldwide agree that global warming is the most pressing issue of our time. From the science to the solutions, The Warming of Connecticut examines how global warming could affect our climate, our coastline and our communities, right in our own backyards.

Closing the Gap: Our Future, Our Destiny

Producer, director, writer of a multi-media initiative including a one -hour documentary on educational disparities in Connecticut, a micro-web site, live, town meeting on CPTV, magazine articles and a photo exhibit at the Legislative Office Building. February 2007. Closing the Gap on CPTV

     

Energy: Connecticut’s Delicate Balance

Producer/Director/Writer of this one-hour documentary focusing on energy issues in Connecticut. Aired on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) in March of 2004.

   
     

Teens: Behind the Wheel

Producer, director, writer of this Emmy Award winning one-hour documentary. In this documentary, independently controlled cameras were used to monitor teen driving behavior for six months. Sections of the documentary were shown on Good Morning America, Dateline, ABC World News Tonight and MSNBC, as well as numerous local news stations across the country. The documentary is still in distribution on PBS stations nationwide, and a part 2 is in pre-production. Completed in 2005.

Producer/Director of an hour documentary that explores issues of racism through the eyes of the unheard. Currently in distribution through PBS Plus.

     

Seniors: Behind the Wheel

Producer/Director/Writer of this half hour documentary that explores issues surrounding senior driving from the perspective of the senior driver and adult family members. Currently in distribution nationally and in Canada through PBS Plus.

Producer/Director/Writer of a half documentary that examines the causes of childhood auto injury and offers solutions to end staggering statistics. Still in distribution nationally and in Canada through PBS Plus.

     

International Fund for Animal Welfare

Producer/director, various animal welfare projects (with a particular concentration on Harp Seals in Canada) 1997-2000.

     

Women Helping Women

Producer/DP for a documentary on the women of Haiti, 1999. Funded by the Hardin Foundation of Chicago. Used for fundraising purposes by an organization called Women’s Perspective.

     

TechnoServe

Producer/Director of a variety of educational projects for this non-profit organization. These projects have been shot in Ghana, Nigeria, Nicaragua and El Salvador often using a combination of local and US crews, 1997-2002.

     

Girls and Technology

Producer/Director of a documentary exploring the differences between how boys and girls learn math and science. Funded by the National Coalition for Girls Schools and National Science Foundation. The program was broadcast on Connecticut Public Television in 1995.

     

Children's Programming

Peace Corps-Producer/writer of several children’s programs for the Peace Corps. The programs aired on the Learning Channel and they were distributed to school systems throughout the United States. They were also exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, 1994-1995

Creator and producer of ACE Award winning children's series that originated on local cable television, but also aired on Connecticut Public Television, 1987-1990.

Various interactive projects -Producer for DVD and web projects for companies such as Connecticut Public Television, Loctite Corporation, Otis Elevator and Loral Global Communications, 1998-present.
